VA Refinance Cash Out

When requesting a cash out refinance, the standard documentation and qualification guidelines do apply. Unlike the VA Streamline loan, the VA cash out refinance is very similar to your original purchase loan as the terms of the loan are the same and the following items are a few of the items needed for all borrowers to qualify:

  • DD214
  • Appraisal Report
  • Statement of Service *
  • County Property Tax Bill
  • VA Certificate of Eligibility
  • Copy of Note & Deed of Trust
  • Most Recent Mortgage Statement(s)
(copy of front & back on both
    1st T.D. & 2nd T.D. if applicable)
  • Homeowners Insurance Declaration Page
  • Verification of the VA Case Number *
    (sometimes referred to as LH#)
  • Subordination Authorization *
  • Most Recent 30 Day Paystubs
  • 2 Years Most Recent Tax Returns
  • 3 Months Bank Statements, 401k, IRA,
(all pages, front & back for all liquid assets)

* DD214 applies to all Discharged Veterans. For Active Duty, a Statement of Service will need to be ordered. In addition, VA requires we will provide proof of your existing VA Case Number. To do this you’ll want to locate the copies of your paperwork you received in escrow on your existing loan. Should the Note and Deed of Trust not have your VA Case number, you will need to include a copy of your previous closing statement or contact us for assistance!

Should you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Inman Mortgage Group today as we look forward to providing you the most competitive interest rates, terms and loan programs our clients have come to expect and you deserve!
